Tuesday's Tute: Allison's Favorites

Legwarmers
This week Allison asked if we could share a couple of her favorite tutorials from the past.  She loves and wears her legwarmers often.  We made these (in the picture) from sweater sleeves.  We also have some made from knee socks.

Koolaid Skirt
The Koolaid skirt is made with Power Net fabric from JoAnns.  The catch?  Power net comes in white, cream, and black only. It's about $10/yd, but is 60" wide. To get the best price use a coupon when you go. The solution?  Koolaid!  Power Net is a nylon based fabric and responds in amazing fashion to Koolaid dye.  The pattern used in this skirt is our Casey Skirt pattern with one variation.  Use a times 4 when calculating the body of the skirt and layer it on top of a thin lining fabric.  It makes a fun and festive skirt with fabulous twirl.  Done in reds this skirt would make a beautiful Christmas skirt!

Happy Sewing!
Debbie and Allison
