During a shopping trip in November, Curly saw a kit for this gingerbread house and "strongly" requested it. I was intending to make our own gingerbread for a house, but this was an easier way to do the same thing, well almost.
Today seemed like a great time to "build" our house. When we opened the box, we found the house built...decorate only. Based our this experience with sticking things and getting them to stay with frosting, I'm glad it was built. lol.
Each child got two sides to do and one side of the roof. They had so much fun. And, for those who know us well...a limited candy eating house, I did let them eat a little of the candy.
This house will go with us to grandma's house on Christmas Eve for eating.... I pray it's edible.
Have a very Merry Christmas... Take time to make something with your children, even if it's just supper.
I thought about doing a gingerbread house this year, but there is just too much life going on. We are also a limited candy/sugar eating house.ReplyDelete
